our weekend....

Was far from exciting.

I had all these great plans of thrift store shopping for my ebay business, crafting for my etsy shop, crafting for the holidays, decorating, baking...my ideas were grand. But I barely managed to get out of my pjs.

Little chick is a sleeper...like her momma. Saturday morning around 7:30 I heard her gabbing away in her room talking to Cowie and AG Bear, happy as can be. This momma decided it was far too early on a rainy, cold Saturday so, I let her hang. I fell back asleep and apparently chick did too...because next think I knew...she was up again chatting away at 10:30...Yes people...my kid SLEEPS! I like to joke that she must have known our future of me being a single mom and decided to cut me some slack in the sleep department! I think I scored! So, we finally rolled out of bed.

This momma made a HUGE pot of coffee, blasted the heater, and let the yummy smell of cinnamon candles flow through the apartment....Chick had other things going on besides sippin' coffee...

Chick can make a mess in a matter of seconds...
Then she wonders away to make a new mess...
Then she stops, stares me down...and flashes that little grin...reminds me it's just a mess...it's a lazy Saturday...it's all good momma...

So mess we made. Bugs went down for a nap...she woke, had lunch, you know the norm...then we loaded up the huge laundry basket and ventured out to the laundry mat...ugh apartment living...you kill me.

Next time I go to the laundry mat, I've got to take a picture...you should see how we do it...I get the stroller out, put the BIG basket of laundry in the stroller, load the diaper bag, my Starbucks, grab my kid and hold her, push heavy stroller one handed while holding on to my wiggly one year old that hasn't taken any more steps since I last reported...finally we're in, still holding chick I load up the laundry machines once the basket gets lighter I manage to move it one handed and plop the kid into the stroller. Ahhhh. Free at last. Three machines loaded 20 minutes to spare we go out for a nice Fall stroll...

It was freezin' out...so we kicked it into high gear and power walked...It felt good! I felt motivated. Let's hope I stick with it.

Back to the laundry mat to switch out the loads...apparently I was short on quarters and found myself exchanging my $20 bill for $20 in quarters...anyone need change?? Makena's dadda came just in time for the folding to take place...perfect. That's my least fav part. You people with laundry inside your homes...thank your lucky stars for those sweet, white machines...Everyone HATES laundry...but you never know how much you appreciate it until you no longer have it and have to take your one year old and make a day at the laundry mat.  After we went to lunch/dinner and did some thrift store shopping...who knew thrift stores could be sooo fun? Suddenly, Saturday was over.

Sunday was so borning. I wanted to sleep the day away! Or decorate...both of which did not take place. Most of the day was spent thinking of what I should do...until finally I just had to get the heck out of dodge. We ventured out to the mall...BIG mistake. Everyone and there mother had the same idea on a cold rainy Sunday. What was I even thinking going to the mall...I've got no money to spend...It's like a cruel joke. So after wanting to run just about everyone over with my stroller, I then made the mistake of going to Costco. I just needed chicken...and came out spending $100 on diapers, chicken, fruit snacks...and mamma need a big yummy bottle of wine. Then I sat in the LOVELY line at Costco for gas...Who can top a better Sunday than this people???

I can....
Buggy in her old/new rocking chair...This was mine when I was little...it make my heart fill up with joy seeing her in it...she climbs in..climbs out, sits, says, "rockkkk....whoaaaa" ahhh so stickin' sweet! Doesn't see look sooo big and grown up? And really...this make me feel REALLY old...my 27 year old toosh used to sit in that chair...now my ONE year old is...come on time...slow your roll will ya? Thanks.

That folks...was our weekend. Jealous aren't ya?? I know...you should be!
