christmas overload...breakfast with santa...

Saturday morning the sweets and I woke up bright...or foggy...in the morning with the excitement of having breakfast with Santa! Of course, the excitement was for momma...little Bug didn't know what the heck we were doing. Oh the joys of motherhood. Originally, I planned and paid for this to be a family event, but it didn't turn out as planned...the miss and I are family so, I stand corrected. We enjoyed a family breakfast with Santa!

Off we went...

We sat at a table with random breakfast with Santa goers and made a Christmas craft...Momma made the craft...she watched. Breakfast was served, pancakes, eggs and sausage. I got two plates of course...one for myself and one for the chick...I should have gotten three but who's counting! Sister has a thing about eating these days...she just doesn't. So this momma looked like a breakfast hoarder. Chick decided I was done eating and wanted to go dance around the Christmas tree while the lovely man in the funny hat with a guitar sang Christmas songs....

Waiting patiently as I ate...

Loosing it...

Much happier shaking it...
She does the booty pop...
Possibly not soooo excited with the song selection...
So since chick and I were flyin' solo we left it to ourselves to do self portraits...That's the thing for me that REALLY sucks about this whole up in the air marriage thing...duh...I need a personal photographer with me at all times...
But...in the joy of Christmas spirit, a kind soul came and rescued us from our embarrassment...
So I did say this was breakfast with Santa right?? Where's the jolly guy??
He made his rounds during chow time and my child freaked the you know what out...
Hysterically crying. Great. This is supposed exciting, remember??
She calmed down...Santa went away...all was good.
But heck yes I wanted my child's picture with Santa!!!
We were first in line...I figured she already lost it she'll for sure loose it again.
In a weird way though, I think ALL parents want that picture of your sweet child screaming and crying on Santa's lap...am I wrong?

Well instead of my child looking scared, I got scary Santa...
In the photo above not so nice Santa...not sure what that guy was thinking...
But this...
Look how freakin' sweet that is...
 Ahhh...we love us some Santa!

Aww I remember my mum used to take me to one of those- they were so much fun.. And hopefully your lil miss is a bit less scared of Santa next time.. Though with that Santa I can't say I blame her!

Yes every parent wants that picture! Am I mean to say that I was looking forward to that one (this years)? But that is only because I think it is the most memorable for the parent!

Ahhh, she does the booty pop! My nephew does the Jersey Turnpike (see Snooki and Deena from Jersery Shore). Where do these kids learn these things???

Santa looked really scary in that first photo, glad he figured out how do look a little nicer.
